With Purpose Birmingham
With Purpose was started by Erin Benson and Michael Lee after their son, Sam Lee, passed away from Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma. DIPG is a form of cancer formed by aggressive tumors at the base of the brain.
Erin and Michael lived life to the fullest while Sam was still alive. Since he passed in March 2016, they have dedicated their time and efforts to advocating for those who have also been impacted by childhood cancer. It is through their efforts, and their community, that they saw the power that awareness brings to a cause.
About the Team
Our team is made up of five individuals studying Public Relations at Samford University.
Each of us bring a different skill set and passion to the campaign for With Purpose.
